% 26.10.2017 Notice could not be issued as process fee was not filed. However, respondent no.2 appears in Court and accepts notice. He has been identified by SI Anurag of police station Mehrauli. Petitioner and respondent no.2 are stated to be neighbours. It is submitted that a quarrel took place between them on some trivial issue wherein petitioner, in a fit of rage, stabbed respondent no.2. Injuries are simple. It is further submitted that with the intervention of their common friends and other family members, matter has been settled between the petitioner and respondent no.2 amicably, therefore, FIR No. 1499/2015 under Sections 324 IPC registered at police station Mehrauli, on the complaint of respondent no.2, may be quashed. Respondent no.2 submits that he has settled the matter with the

petitioner of his own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. He further submits that in view of the settlement he is not willing to pursue the FIR any further and the same may be quashed. Keeping in view the fact that a quarrel had ensued between the petitioner and respondent no.2 all of a sudden on some trivial issue wherein petitioner had stabbed the respondent no.2 in a fit of rage resulting in simple injuries and the fact that matter has been settled between the petitioner and respondent no.2 voluntarily, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
