1. This application by the Petitioner seeks restoration of the main writ petition which was disposed of by this Court on 2nd November 2017. The Petitioner alleges that nothing has happened since then.
2. On receipt of an advance copy of this application, a fairly detailed status report dated 24th May 2018 has been filed by Mr. Surender Kumar Gulia, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Anti Human Trafficking Unit, Crime Branch, Sector 16, Rohini, Delhi. Inter alia it is pointed out that after the order dated 2nd November 2017, several people have been examined at Mumbai and Jammu. The laptop of the victim has been sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), Rohini for retrieval of data and further
investigation. The report of the FSL is stated to be awaited.
3. According to the status report, the Complainant, i.e. the Petitioner herein, was repeatedly asked to provide the details of the victim but no such details have been received. The CDR of the mobile phone used by the victim has been analysed and related persons examined but no leads could be developed till date. The reward of Rs.50,000/- has been enhanced by Commissioner of Police to Rs. 1 lakh by an order dated 10th May 2018. It is stated that the SIT constituted to conduct the investigation of this case is working hard to trace the victim.
4. A copy of the status report has been handed over to the learned counsel for the Petitioner.
5. A revised status report be filed on the next date.
