W.P.(CRL) 1090/2015 Petitioner nos. 1 and 2 have married in Arya Samaj Vedic Sanskar Trust, Rajindra Market, Tis Hazari, Delhi on 18th May, 2015. Photocopies of the documents placed on record indicate that petitioners are major. Respondent nos. 3 and 4 are parents and respondent no. 5 is uncle of petitioner no. 2. Petitioners have alleged in the petition that they apprehend

danger to their lives from the respondent nos. 3 to 5, since it is an inter-caste marriage.

SI Satish Kumar, P.S. Alipur is present in Court and submits that yesterday he had contacted the respondent nos. 3 and 4 and they have orally told him that they have no objection to the marriage of petitioners. Be that as it may, it is the duty of the State to protect its citizens. Accordingly, respondent no. 2 is directed to ensure the safety of petitioners. Petitioners have been provided telephone numbers of Beat Constable, Divisional Officer and Station House Officer, P.S. Alipur to whom they may contact in case of any threat is received. Respondent no. 2 shall ensure that Beat Constable visits the house of petitioners daily to verify about the wellbeing of the petitioners. Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti. A.K.
