Present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No.283/2013 under Sections 406/498A/34/120B IPC at PS Keshav Puram. It is stated that the matter has been settled amicably with the complainant / respondent No.2 before the Mediation Centre, Rohini District Courts, Delhi vide settlement agreement dated 11.02.2014.

Complainant / respondent No.2 is present along with her mother. She is represented by her counsel. She has been identified by the Investigating Officer. I have enquired from the complainant if she has settled the dispute with the petitioners amicably without any CRL.M.C. 3347/2015

fear or pressure. She has informed that all the disputes between the parties have been resolved amicably with her free consent and she has no objection to the quashing of the FIR in question. 3.

Copy of settlement agreement dated 11.02.2014 has been placed on record. It was signed by the complainant in the presence of her mother, brother and counsel. Pursuant to the settlement, divorce by mutual consent has taken place between the parties. The payments agreed to be paid by the petitioners has since been given to the complainant.

Since the dispute between the parties has been settled, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings. In the interest of justice and to enable the parties to put an end to the litigation and to settle in life after the divorce, FIR No.283/2013 under Sections 406/498A/34/120B IPC at PS Keshav Puram and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed.

The petitioners are burdened with costs ` 25,000/-. The cost shall, however, be paid to the complainant / respondent No.2 within two weeks through Investigating Officer by way of Demand Draft in her name.

The petition stands disposed of accordingly.

Pending application also stands disposed of.
