On September 01, 2016 counsel for the petitioner has filed a death certificate issued by the Registrar of Births and Deaths, Central Room, Lajpat Nagar, Delhi recording therein that the petitioner died on July 22, 2016.

None appears for the petitioner 3.

In view of the petitioner having died it is apparent that the proceedings initiated by SEBI have abated.

Challenge in the petition is to learned Additional Sessions Judge taking cognizance of the complaint and passing the impugned order dated October 31, 2014 rejecting jurisdictional challenge by the petitioner on the plea that for the offence in question only Court of learned Metropolitan Magistrate could take cognizance of the matter. 5.

The petition is accordingly disposed of as infructuous for the reason proceedings against the petitioner have abated.
