O R D E R

% 27.09.2016 This is a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No. 334/2011, under Section 498A/406 IPC, registered at Police Station Jaitpur. It is stated that the matter has been settled amicably between the parties by way of a compromise/settlement.

Respondent No.2/Smt. Geeta is present before the Court with her counsel and is identified by the Investigating Officer SI Lalit Kumar. I have enquired from respondent No. 2 whether the matter has been settled with the petitioner amicably without fear and pressure. She has stated that the matter has been settled without any fear or pressure. Since the matter stands compromised/settled between the parties before the mediation centre by mutual consent which has already been

granted vide order dated 14.12.2011 and the parties are now living together as husband and wife and the complainant has no grievance left against the petitioner.

In view of the aforesaid no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings under Section 498A/406 IPC. In the interest of justice and to enable the parties to settle in life, FIR No. 334/2011, under Section 498A/406 IPC, registered at Police Station Jaitpur and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
