% 24.05.2017 Crl.M.A. 8863/2017 (Exemption) Application is allowed subject to just exceptions. Bail Appln. 975/2017 The present application has been filed for the extension of interim bail.

Perusal of record shows that interim bail granted to the petitioner for a period of 100 days uptill 28.04.2017 and then it was extended till 27.05.2017 and the petitioner is seeking further extension of interim bail.

This Court is of the considered opinion that granting interim bail from time to time till infinitely tantamount to substituting the

regular bail on merits of the case. The accused is always at the liberty to move for the regular bail after surrender on completion of interim bail.

At this stage, counsel for the petitioner does not want to press the present application and wishes to have his legal remedy of filing the bail application after surrender.
