% 04.10.2016 Crl. M.A .No.15603/2016 (Exemption) Exemption allowed subject to all just exceptions. The application stands disposed of.

CRL.M.C. 3730/2016 This is a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No. 515/015 under Section 498A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Kalayanpuri. It is stated that the matter has been amicably settled between the parties.

Issue notice.

Mr. Raghuvinder Verma, learned Additional Public Prosecutor accepts notice on behalf of the state.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the matter has been settled in Mediation Centre, Karkardooma vide settlement dated 17.07.2015.

Learned counsel for the petitioners further submitted that no purpose will be served if the proceedings in FIR No.515/2015 under Section 498A/406/34 IPC registered at P.S. Kalyanpuri and further requested that the same be quashed.

Complainant/respondent No.2, Smt. Saraswati who is present in person also confirms the same and submitted that she has received the settled amount as stated in the Mediation settlement and nothing is due. Complainant also submitted that settlement has reached without pressure, coercion and voluntary.

In view of the above, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings under Section 498A/406/34 IPC. In the interest of justice and to enable the parties to settle in life, FIR No.515/2015 under Section 498A/406/34 IPC registered at P.S. Kalyanpuri and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed. The petition is disposed of accordingly.
