% 08.08.2017 It is pointed out by Mr.Yeeshu Jain, Standing Counsel for LAC/L&B that the petition seeking declaration under Section 24(2) of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 is not maintainable. It is submitted that the petitioners rely on general power of attorney which does not confer and convey title. The acquisition was notified in 1980 followed by an Award dated 16.05.1987 and that the power of attorney was issued in this case in 2011.

In view of these objections, learned counsel for the petitioners seeks liberty to withdraw the writ petition with liberty to file a fresh one on the basis of fuller and detailed record in support of the claim. The petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty, as prayed for. All pending application(s) also stand disposed of. S. RAVINDRA BHAT, J.
