O R D E R

% 05.12.2017 It is submitted that petitioners and respondent no. 2 were students of Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi at the relevant time. A quarrel took place during elections of Student's Union, which led to registration of the present FIR No. 678/2014 under Sections 323/354/34 IPC at Police Station Vasant Kunj (N). Petitioner and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably, therefore, the aforesaid FIR and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom may be quashed.

Aforesaid FIR was registered on the complaint of respondent no. 2

Ms. Heena Guswami, who is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Manish Yadav of Police Station Vasant Kunj (N). She says that she has now settled the matter with the petitioners of her own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She further submits that she is not willing to pursue the FIR any further and the same may be quashed. Her affidavit to this effect is also on record at page 33 of the paper book. Respondent no. 2 has admitted her signatures on the affidavit at points 'X'.

Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 678/2014 under Sections 323/354/34 IPC registered at Police Station Vasant Kunj (N) and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti. A.K. PATHAK, J.
