CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK

O R D E R

% 02.04.2018 Respondent no.2-Priya Panchal is present in Court and has been identified by SI Kamlesh Kumar of police station Rajinder Nagar. She submits that she has settled the matter with petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She further submits that in view of the settlement she does not wish to pursue the FIR No. 222/2015 under Sections 384/354D/506/509 IPC registered at police station Rajinder Nagar against the petitioner and the same may be quashed. Affidavit of respondent no.2 is also on record to this effect at page 10. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2 voluntarily, I am of the view that no fruitful purpose would

be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
