% 26.09.2016 This is a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No. 234/2013 under Section 498A/406 IPC registered at Police Station Dwarka North, District South-West, Delhi. It is stated that the matter has been settled amicably between the parties. Parties are now living together as husband and wife.

Counsel for the petitioners submits that the matter has been amicably settled between the parties vide the Settlement Deed dated 21.09.2016. Respondent No.2 Smt. Sabana Khatoon is present before the Court with her counsel and is identified by the Investigating Officer ASI Banwari Lal. I have enquired from respondent No. 2 whether the matter has been settled

with the petitioners amicably without fear and pressure. She has stated that the matter has been settled without any fear or pressure. Since the matter has been settled between the parties vide the Settlement Deed dated 21.09.2016, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings under Section 498A/406 IPC. In the interest of justice and to enable the parties to settle in life together, FIR No. 234/2013 under Section 498A/406 IPC registered at Police Station Dwarka North, District South-West, Delhi and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
