BAIL APPLN. 1991/2016 Issue notice. Notice is accepted on behalf of the State. The submission of the petitioner is that the petitioner is ready and willing to join the investigation. He further submits that looking to the nature of allegations, there is no need for custodial interrogation in the present case. The allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner was found consuming liquor in a parked car and when the local police officials sought to make

inquiry, he assaulted them.

I find merit in the submission of the petitioner that there is no need for custodial interrogation. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. The petitioner shall, however, join the investigation as and when called for. In case of his arrest, the petitioner shall be released on bail upon his furnishing personal bond with one surety in the sum of Rs.10,000/- to the satisfaction of the arresting officer.

The application stands disposed of.
