IN THE HIGH COURT OF DELHI AT NEW DELHI
+ CRL.M.C. 4696/2018 SH. SANJAY SHARMA & ORS.
..... Petitioners Through Mr. Jagdeep Sharma, Adv.
versus STATE (N.C.T. OF DELHI) & ORS.
..... Respondents Through Ms. Manjeet Arya, APP with SI Amit Bhardwaj, P.S. Ghazipur Respondent nos. 2 to 4 in person
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK
O R D E R
% 17.09.2018 Notice.
Learned APP accepts notice for respondent no. 1.
Respondent nos.2 to 4 are present in Court and accept notice. They have been identified by SI Amit Bhardwaj of police station Ghazipur. Respondent nos.2 to 4 submit that petitioners are their neighbours. They have settled the matter with the petitioners of their own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi on 19th March, 2018. Respondent nos. 2 to 4 say that they have no objection in case FIR no. 138/2012 under Sections 323/427/452/506/34 IPC registered at Police Station Ghazipur and
consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed against the petitioners.
Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondents voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending.
Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
Dasti.
