This is a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been preferred by the petitioners for quashing of FIR No.144/10 registered under Sections 498A/406/420/34 IPC and Section 4 DP Act registered at PS Zafrabad. It is stated that the matter has been settled amicably and the petitioner No.1 and Respondent No.2 are living together happily in the matrimonial home.

Respondent No.2/ Complainant is present before the Court with CRL.M.C. 3603/2016

her counsel and is identified by the Investigating Officer. I have enquired from her whether the matter has been settled with the petitioners amicably without fear and pressure. She has stated that the matter has been settled without any fear or pressure and she is living happily with the petitioners in the matrimonial home since 2011. 3.

The matter has been resolved before the Mediation Centre, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi as reflected in the order dated 18.03.2016.

In the said proceedings the complainant had informed that they were living together since 2011. The petition is supported by the affidavit of the parties.

Since the matter has been settled between the parties and they are living together in the matrimonial home, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings. In the interest of justice and to enable the parties to maintain their matrimonial relations, FIR No.144/10 under Sections 498A/406/420/34 IPC and Section 4 DP Act registered at PS Zafrabad and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
