CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE MANMOHAN
O R D E R
% 02.08.2016 Present contempt petition had been filed alleging wilful disobedience of the order dated 11th December, 2013 passed by a Coordinate Bench of this Court in W.P.(C) 2221/2011 whereby the Directorate of Education was directed to pass a speaking order within a period of four weeks. In pursuance to the last order dated 10th May, 2016, Directorate of Education has now passed an order dated 11th July, 2016. A photocopy of the same has been handed over by the learned counsel for respondentDirectorate of Education. The same is taken on record.
Learned counsel for respondent-Directorate of Education states that despite two notices given by E-mail, none had appeared for the respondentschool before the Directorate of Education. However, as learned counsel for respondents No.1 to 3 states that the order dated 11th July, 2016 has been passed without hearing the said respondents and the rate of interest awarded is penal in nature, this Court clarifies that the respondents are at liberty to file appropriate proceedings in accordance with law to challenge the order dated 11th July, 2016. In view thereof, present contempt petition and application are closed and the notices issued are discharged with the aforesaid liberty. MANMOHAN, J AUGUST 02, 2016 js
