CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE ASHUTOSH KUMAR

O R D E R

% 29.05.2017 The petitioner has sought protection from the police as she apprehends trouble at the hands of her husband and her in-laws who are settled in Darjeeling. Because of the cruelty perpetrated upon her, she moved from Darjeeling to Delhi and is presently staying at K-172, Manogol Puri, Delhi with her friend. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that on 16.05.2017, she was threatened by her husband and her in-laws. Though the aforesaid facts of threatening has not been found to be correct by the police on verification but taking into account the fact that the petitioner is having a disturbed marital life which forced her to leave Darjeeling for Delhi, the police has taken upon itself to provide all necessary protection to her.

Ms. Nandita Rao, learned ASC submits that a beat police of the area has been instructed to keep an eye at the place of residence of the petitioner. The telephone number of the beat police has been provided to the petitioner with an assurance that in case of any call from the petitioner for any help, it would be promptly responded.

Taking into account the aforesaid stand of the State, there is no necessity of issuing any further direction.

The writ petition is disposed of.
