This is a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No.350/2014 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at PS Palam Village, Delhi. It is stated that the matter has been settled amicably between the parties vide compromise deed which is executed on 01.09.2016 and got attested on 05.09.2015, an amount of Rs.24,50,000/- (Rupees Twenty Four Lakhs Fifty Thousand only) is stated to be paid in terms of the compromise deed.

Complainant/Respondent No.2- Ms.Heema Dutta is present before the Court and is identified by the Investigating Officer. I have enquired from her whether the matter has been settled with the petitioner Nos.1 & 2 amicably without fear and pressure. She has stated that the matter has been settled

without any fear or pressure and that the petitioners were to pay a sum of Rs.24,50,000/- (Rupees Twenty Four Lakhs Fifty Thousand only) which has already been received by her.

Since the matter has been settled between the parties, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC. In the interest of justice and to enable the parties to settle in life, FIR No.350/2014 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at PS Palam Village, Delhi and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed. 4.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
