$~11 * IN THE HIGH COURT OF DELHI AT NEW DELHI + CRL.M.C. 2292/2017 SAFDAR & ANR ..... Petitioners Through:

Mr. R.D. Rana, Adv.

versus THE STATE GOVT OF NCT OF DELHI & ANR ..... Respondents Through:

Ms. Meenakshi Dahiya, APP with SI Devender, P.S. Dabri.

Respondent no.2 in person.

CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK

O R D E R

% 13.12.2017 Respondent no.2-Mrs. Nanhi is present in Court and has been identified by SI Devender of police station Dabri. She submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioners vide Compromise/Settlement Deed dated 6th February, 2017 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She further submits that she has no objection in case FIR No. 995/15 under Sections 354/354A/34 IPC registered at police station Dabri is quashed.

During the course of hearing, it is revealed that petitioners and respondent no.2 are related to each other.

A perusal of FIR shows that a quarrel took place between them on some trivial issue which led to the incident resulting in registration of aforesaid FIR. Keeping in mind that

petitioners and respondent nos. 2 have settled the matter voluntarily, therefore, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.

Dasti.
