% 18.11.2016 Crl.M.A. No. 17979/2016 Issue notice. Mr. Mahajan accepts notice.
By this application, the petitioner seeks extension of parole for a period of 90 days on the ground that he has to take care of his old and ailing mother. He states that his mother is in ICU and needs to undergo heart surgery.
The petitioner has placed on record the certificate dated 15.11.2016 issued by Gandhi Hospital in support of his submission. This certificate states that the patient Bimla Devi W/o late Ram Kishan would have to stay in the hospital for 4-5 days. She requires Coronary Angiography also.
The aforesaid procedure is merely a test and does not tantamount to a surgery in itself. Therefore, the aforesaid submission of the petitioner does not appear to be correct. In any event, since the mother of the petitioner is stated to be hospitalised and she requires Angiography, for which the petitioner may be required to give his consent, the parole of the petitioner is extended by further period of two weeks from the date of its expiry on the same terms & conditions on which parole was initially granted vide order dated 03.10.2016.
The application stands disposed of.
