CORAM:

HON'BLE MS. JUSTICE INDERMEET KAUR

O R D E R

% 11.01.2017 The stand of respondent No. 2/SDMC is taken on record. In this affidavit filed by respondent No. 2, it is stated that this area in question was inspected by the Area Inspector on 08.01.2017. Photographs have been taken; no weekly market was found running at the site. Inquiries were made from the local residents; it was revealed that the weekly market was not in operation since the last one month. Photographs on 08.01.2017 substantiating this submission have been taken on record.

The stand of respondent No.3/Deputy Commissioner (Police) by way of status report is also taken on record. He has also supported the stand of respondent No. 2. His submission is also that this weekly bazaar has been stopped since November, 2016 and no such weekly

bazaar is in operation. The General Secretary of the petitioner association is present. On a query put to him, the petitioner appears to have little answer.

Noting the stand of respondents No. 2 & 3, this Court is of the view that no further orders are called for on this petition; the prayer in this petition being that this weekly market has to be stopped. The categorical version of respondents No. 2 & 3 that this weekly bazaar is not in operation since November, 2016, no further orders are called for on this petition. It is disposed of.
