The application stands disposed-off.
BAIL APPLN. 2060/2018 The petitioner seeks interim bail for two weeks to attend to the last rites of his father.
The learned counsel for the State submits that the petitioner has attempted to murder a seriously injured victim by shooting three bullets in the latter's chest. He submits that if released on bail, the petitioner is likely to jump it and otherwise seek to jeopardise the trial in one way or the other and that for his father's last rites, the petitioner may be released only on custody bail, and not on interim bail.
In view of the above, for the last rites on the 13th day of his father's demise, the petitioner shall be released on custody bail from 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. on 05.09.2018.
The petition stands disposed-off in the above terms. A copy of this order be given dasti to the learned counsel for the parties under signature of the Court Master. Additionally, a copy be sent to the Jail Superintendent concerned and other authorities necessary for compliance of the order. A copy be served through the Investigating Officer as well.
