O R D E R

% 26.05.2017 The status report submitted in the court has been perused. The petitioner has suffered incarceration so far of hardly one year against the sentence of imprisonment for life meted out in a case of 1992 vintage after dismissal of his appeal Criminal Appeal no.202/2000 by this court vide order dated 19.05.2015, the offences involved being under Sections 302/342/323/34 IPC. He had made a request to the executive branch of the State for release on parole on 25.02.2017 which was rejected by communication dated 25.04.2017, the prime grounds set out being that necessity for the petitioner to take care of the cultivation from which he and his family would earn livelihood has been found to be unsubstantiated. The agriculture fields are well taken care of by other members of his family, particularly his sons.

Dismissed.
