IN THE HIGH COURT OF DELHI AT NEW DELHI

+ W.P.(C) 9292/2018 & CM 35954-35955/2018 SANDEEP KALRA & ORS ..... Petitioners Through: Mr Alakh Alok Srivastava, Mr Chandan Kumar Singh, Advocates.

versus UNION OF INDIA ..... Respondent Through: Mr Ripu Daman Bhardwaj, CGSC with Mr T.P. Singh, Advocate for UOI.

CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VIBHU BAKHRU

O R D E R

% 12.09.2018 1.

The present petition was considered on 04.09.2018 and this Court had - for the reasons stated in the order passed on that date - expressed its view that no interference with the impugned decision (of not including the petitioners in the Indian contingent to participate in the sport of table tennis at the Asian Para Games 2018) was warranted. Nonetheless, this Court had called upon the learned counsel for the respondent to take instructions whether the petitioners could be included in the Indian Contingent on the condition that they bear their entire costs. This was for the reason that if the petitioners have been excluded due to budgetary constraints, they could be permitted to participate at the Asian Para Games 2018. 2.

The learned counsel for the respondent has obtained the necessary

instructions. He now states that the Indian team has been selected on merits and the respondent is not willing to include the petitioners in the team even on the petitioners bearing their own costs. In view of the above, no relief can be granted to the petitioners.

3.

The petition is, accordingly, dismissed.

The pending application is also disposed of.
