% 30.09.2016 1.

Present petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been preferred by the petitioners for quashing of the FIR No.546/2015 registered under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC at PS Mandawli. It is stated that the matter has been settled amicably with the respondent No.2 / complainant.

2.

Respondent No.2 / complainant - with her counsel is present before the Court and is identified by the Investigating Officer. I have made enquiries from respondent No.2 if the dispute has been settled by her with the petitioners of her own free will without any fear or pressure. She has stated that the dispute with the petitioners has been

resolved amicably with her free consent and she has no objection to the quashing of the FIR. A demand draft bearing No.501636 dated 12/07/2016 for the sum of `2,00,000/- has been handed over to the complainant today in the Court.

3.

Petition is supported by affidavits of the parties. Divorce by mutual consent has been granted by learned Principal Judge, Family Court, East District, Vishwas Nagar, Delhi on 02.08.2016. Copy of the order is on record. Since the matter has been settled between the parties amicably, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings. In the interest of justice and to put an end to the litigation and to settle in life after divorce, FIR No.546/2015 registered under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC at PS Mandawli and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed. 4.

The petitioners are directed to deposit ` 15,000/- as costs in the Prime Minister's Relief Fund within two weeks. Registry shall ensure its compliance.

5.

The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
