Learned counsel for the petitioner states that though the Mediation proceedings could not result in a settlement, he has instructions to state that the petitioner is still willing to pay a sum of Rs.7,830/- as ordered by the Authority under the Minimum Wages Act vide its order dated 24.01.2014.

The respondent, who is present in person, has no objection to the fair offer made by learned counsel for the petitioner provided the said amount of Rs.7,830/- is paid to him within one week from today. 3.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the petitioner to pay a sum of Rs.7,830/- to the respondent. It is made clear that in view of the matter being settled, the impugned order dated 24.01.2014 will no longer be implementable and the findings

recorded therein will not be treated as binding on the petitioner. 4.

The petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms along with the pending application.
