O R D E R

% 01.09.2017 It is submitted that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably, therefore, FIR No. 286/15 under Sections 498A/406/34 registered at police station M.S. Park on the complaint of respondent no.2 may be quashed.

Respondent no.2 is present along with her counsel. She has been identified by ASI Chander Veer of police station. Respondent no.2 admits having settled the matter with the petitioners of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She further submits that her marriage with the petitioner no.1 has already been dissolved by a decree of

divorce by mutual consent passed by the Family Court, Shahdara, Delhi on 20th February, 2017. In terms of the settlement, petitioner no.1 has paid `1 lac to the respondent no.2 through a demand draft bearing no. 650381 dated 17th August, 2017 drawn on ICICI Bank, C.P. Respondent no.2 submits that entire settled amount stands paid with this payment and she has no objection in quashing of the FIR.

Keeping in view that a settlement has been arrived at between the petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2, inasmuch as, marriage between them has already been dissolved and respondent no.2 has no objection in quashing of the FIR, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 286/15 under Sections 498A/406/34 registered at police station M.S. Park and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
