% 30.09.2016 1.
Present petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been preferred by the petitioner for quashing of the FIR No.355/2014 registered under Sections 354A/499/506 IPC at PS New Friends Colony. It is stated that the matter has been settled amicably with the respondent No.2 / complainant before the Mediation Centre, Saket Courts, New Delhi on 20.08.2016.
2.
Respondent No.2 / complainant - with her counsel is present before the Court and is identified by the Investigating Officer. I have
made enquiries from respondent No.2 if the dispute has been settled by her with the petitioner of her own free will without any fear or pressure. She has stated that the dispute with the petitioners has been resolved amicably with her free consent and she has no objection to the quashing of the FIR. Pursuant to the settlement, a demand draft bearing No.5646999 dated 21.09.2016 for the sum of `1,00,000/- has been handed over to the complainant today in the court. 3.
Petition is supported by affidavits of the parties. Copy of settlement order dated 20.08.2016 is on record. Since the matter has been settled between the parties amicably, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings. In the interest of justice and to put an end to the litigation, FIR No.355/2014 registered under Sections 354A/499/506 IPC at PS New Friends Colony and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed.
4.
The petitioners are directed to deposit `20,000/- as costs in the Prime Minister's Relief Fund within two weeks. Registry shall ensure its compliance.
5.
The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
