% 18.10.2016 Crl. M.A. no. 15395/2016 (exemption) Allowed, subject to all just exceptions. Application is disposed of. CRL.M.C. No. 3669/2016 Respondent no. 2 and petitioner are living in the same locality. On the complaint of respondent no. 2, present FIR no. 58/2013 under Sections 354/506 IPC was registered at Police Station Shakarpur. Petitioner and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably with the intervention of common friends.

In view of the settlement, respondent no. 2 is not willing to pursue the FIR any further. She is present in Court and submits

that FIR be quashed.

Keeping in mind that petitioner and respondent no. 2 are living in the same locality and have settled their disputes, respondent no. 2 is not willing to pursue the FIR any further, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending.

Accordingly, FIR no. 58/2013 under Sections 354/506 IPC registered at Police Station Shakarpur and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed, subject to, however, cost of Rs.30,000/- to be paid by the petitioner. A demand draft in the sum of Rs.30,000/- in the name of respondent no. 2 has been handed over by the petitioner to the respondent no. 2. Photocopy of the demand draft is taken on record.
