versus STATE OF NCT OF DELHI ..... Respondent Through:
Mr. Sanjay Lao, ASC with SI Praveen PS Narela.
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE R.K.GAUBA
O R D E R
% 31.05.2017 The petitioner was directed to be released on parole for a period of four weeks by order dated 20th March, 2017 in WP (Crl.) 265/2017, on the ground of need for his presence for the treatment of his wife. By this application he seeks extension of the said period of parole. Status report has been submitted.
The learned additional standing counsel has also arranged for nominal roll from the jail and has submitted photocopy thereof. He confirms on this basis that the period of parole earlier granted became effective from 04.05.2017 and is ending on 02.06.2017 since the petitioner was earlier on interim bail under directions of the Supreme Court.
Given the stage of treatment of his wife, and her medical condition, the prayer is granted. The period of parole is extended by two weeks, with caution that it shall not be extended further, such extension to be on same terms and conditions as were imposed in the previous order. W.P.(CRL) 1660/2017
Copy of the order shall be given dasti and also communicated to the jail authorities.
Petition stands disposed of.
