Petitioner impugns order dated 22.05.2017 whereby the election results in respect of Central Government Employees Residents Welfare Association, Faridabad for the block year 2017-19 were not confirmed by the Ministry of Public, Personnel Grievances & Pensions, Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) and fresh elections were directed to be held by 30.06.2017. 2.

The case of the petitioner is that he had contested the election and won the election for the post of President of the above said RWA by one vote but to defeat his election the respondent did not confirm the election result and as such deprived him of the opportunity of serving as a President of Residents' Welfare Association. 3.

The elections in RWA in question were for the block year W.P.(C) 4800/2017

2017-19 and the said period is also over.

Without prejudice to the rights and contentions of the parties, as term for which the elections were conducted is already over, the petition has become infructuous.

The concerned respondents is directed to notify fresh election in terms of the Constitution of the RWA for the block years 2019 - 21.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
