W.P.(CRL) 3251/2016 A perusal of FIR shows that petitioner and respondent no.2 were known to each other and they were having friendly relations. Respondent no.2 has alleged that on 29th July, 2016, she alongwith petitioner went at Radisson Blue Hotel where they had booked a room. Petitioner, in the room, tried to force himself on her and when she resisted, petitioner hit her

on her head by a glass. On the complaint of respondent no.2, present FIR No.522/2016 under Sections 354/323 IPC was registered at police station Hari Nagar.

Petitioner and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes. Petitioner has apologized and respondent no.2 has condoned the act of petitioner. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by IO SI Anju Tyagi PS Hari Nagar. Respondent no.2 further submits that FIR may be quashed in view of the settlement.

Keeping in mind the fact that the parties have settled their disputes amicably, in the interest of justice, FIR No.522/2016 under Sections 354/323 IPC registered at police station Hari Nagar is quashed. Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
