% 03.10.2016 Issue notice. Mr. Kundu accepts notice on behalf of the State. Respondent No.2 Ms. Rekha is present in Court. She also accepts notice. As proof of her identity, she has produced her original aadhaar card, which has been seen, copy retained and returned. She has been shown the affidavit placed on record at pages 21-22 attributed to her and she states that she has signed the said affidavit at points 'A' and 'B'. She states that under the settlement, she had agreed to receive Rupees Three Lakhs in all in full and final settlement of all her claims. Out of the said amount, Rupees One Lakh each has already been received by her during the first motion and
second motion proceedings to obtain divorce. Divorce has already been obtained.
The petitioner has brought a pay order for Rupees One Lakh drawn in favour of respondent No.2, which has been tendered to respondent No.2 and she has accepted the same. She states that she does not wish to pursue her complaint any further and she joins the request for quashing of the FIR in question.
Accordingly, no useful purpose would be served in proceeding further with the FIR in question and the proceedings emanating therefrom. The same are hereby quashed.
