% 06.10.2016 Respondent no. 4 is father and respondent no. 5 is brother of the petitioner no. 1.

Petitioners have filed this petition seeking police protection. It is alleged that petitioner nos. 1 and 2 have married without the consent of respondent nos. 4 and 5, therefore they are threatening the petitioners, with dire consequences. Respondent nos. 4 and 5 are present in Court and submit that they have not threatened the petitioners nor do they have any intention to cause any harm to them. Respondent no. 4 submits that petitioner no. 2 is a married person. He has married petitioner no. 1

during the subsistence of his first marriage and without taking divorce from his first wife. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that marriage of petitioners is protected under the Muhammadan Law. Legality of the marriage is not an issue in this writ petition, which has been filed by the petitioners only for seeking police protection. Petitioners are adult and are living together.

They apprehend threat to their life.

Accordingly, ASI Yamuna Prasad, P.S. Khajoori Khas, who is present in Court, is directed to provide mobile numbers of Beat Constable, Divisional Officer and SHO, P.S. Khajoori Khas to the petitioners, to whom they may contact in case any threat is received by them. Respondent no. 3 is also directed to ensure the safety of petitioners. Writ petition is disposed of.
