O R D E R

% 11.01.2017 Status report has been tendered in Court and taken on record. The petitioners have filed the present petition seeking quashing of FIR No.340/2016 registered on the complaint of the complainant under Sections 324/ 308 / 427/ 34 IPC against the petitioners at Police Station - Sagar Pur. All the parties, except respondent No.4/ Afjal Khan are present in Court. Learned counsel for the respondents seeks exemption from personal appearance on behalf of respondent No.4. Accordingly, respondent No.4 is

exempted from personal appearance.

The complainant/ respondent No.2 is present in Court. He is identified by the Investigating Officer.

The parties have arrived at a settlement on 20.09.2016, which has been placed on record. The complainant states that he has not been subjected to any pressure or coercion and that he has entered the settlement out of his own free will. The complainant further states that he joins the prayer for quashing of the FIR in question. The petitioners undertake that they shall not indulge in any criminal activity in future since they also have previous involvements as disclosed in the status reports. Accordingly, no useful purpose would be served in proceeding further with the FIR in question and the proceedings emanating therefrom. The same are quashed subject to deposit of Rs.30,000/- to be paid by the accused into the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund within four weeks. The receipt of costs be deposited with the I.O., only whereafter the case shall stand quashed.
