% 03.11.2016 Pooja has appeared in person and has spoken to Ms. Pallavi S. Kansal, Advocate representing Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee. Pooja states that she is happily married and would like to reside with her husband. She states that because of caste reasons, the petitioner, who is the father and her family members are not accepting the marriage.

In view of the statement made by Pooja, no further order or directions are required in the present writ petition. We notice that the petitioner has not mentioned and stated the

date of birth of Pooja in the writ petition. This has been deliberately done, for the police inquiries have revealed that Pooja's date of birth as per her school records is 1st January, 1996. Accordingly, she is more than 18 years of age.

Police will examine the threat perception to Pooja and her husband, and protection as required, would be given to them. Telephone number of a police officer will be made available to Pooja and her husband and in case, they apprehend any violence or threat, Pooja and her husband are at liberty to call the said police officer on the said number.

The aforesaid directions would be applicable as long as Pooja and her husband are in Delhi.

The writ petition is dismissed.
