% 13.09.2018 Notice. Mr. Vishal Ahuja, Power of Attorney of respondent no. 2 is present in Court along with counsel for respondent no. 2 and accepts notice. It is submitted that petitioner and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably, vide a Settlement Deed dated 29th June, 2018; therefore, FIR no. 217/2003 under Sections 63/63-B of the Copyright Act, 1957 registered at Police Station Lajpat Nagar may be quashed. Mr. Vishal Ahuja admits that settlement has been arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2. He says that respondent no. 2 has no objection in case in
aforesaid FIR and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed against the petitioner.
Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
