O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 227/2018 This petition under Section 29A(4) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 has been filed by the petitioner seeking extension of time for making of the Arbitral Award by the Sole Arbitrator in the arbitration proceedings between the parties.

Learned counsel for the respondents, who appears on advance notice, submits that the parties have already arrived at a settlement and only a formal document is required to be executed in this regard. Keeping in view the contents of the petition and the submissions made by the counsels for the parties, the time for making of the Arbitral

Award is extended by a further period of three months with effect from 15.09.2018.

The petition is allowed in the above terms with no order as to cost. Dasti.
