% 26.10.2017 Respondent no. 2 Ms. Rekha is present in Court and has been identified by SI Aadesh Kumar of Police Station Begumpur. Respondent no.2 submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner no.1 before the Mediation Centre, Rohini Courts, Delhi on 31st March, 2014 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She further submits that her marriage with the petitioner no.1 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent passed by the Family Court, North-West District, Rohini Courts, New Delhi on 3rd April, 2017. Petitioner has paid `3,50,000/- by way of demand draft bearing DD No. 165171 dated 25th October, 2017 of Yes Bank, to respondent no.2 in the Court today. Respondent No.2 submits that with this payment, entire settled amount of `20 lakhs stands received. Respondent no. 2 further submits that she is not willing to pursue criminal proceedings any further against the petitioner no.1 and his mother i.e. petitioner no. 2 and, therefore, FIR

51/2013 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Begum Pur may be quashed.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case as detailed above more particularly, the fact that marriage between the petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 has already been dissolved, in the interest of justice, , FIR 51/2013 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Begum Pur and the consequent proceedings emanating thereform are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
