% 16.10.2018 The grievance made in this petition is that petitioner's appeal No.37/2017 is said to be pending for about one year and is being consistently adjourned on the ground that Presiding Officer is either busy in meeting or is on leave.
In the facts and circumstances of this case, it is deemed appropriate to dispose of this petition with direction to the Deputy Commissioner (South) to ensure that petitioner's appeal No.37/2017 is positively decided within a period of six months from the date already fixed and its fate be conveyed to petitioner within two weeks thereafter, so that petitioner may avail of the remedies as available in law, if need be. At this stage, petitioner's counsel submits that the order impugned in the appeal is being implemented and no orders on the application for W.P.(C) 11258/2018
interim relief have been passed by the concerned Deputy Commissioner (South). If it is so, then petitioner's application for interim relief be disposed of by the Deputy Commissioner (South) within a period of six weeks from today.
The Deputy Commissioner (South) be apprised of this order forthwith, to ensure its compliance.
With aforesaid directions, this petition and the applications are accordingly disposed of.
