Ms. Rao, the learned Additional Standing Counsel accepts notice for State.

At joint request, the petition is taken up for disposal. This writ petition seeks release of the petitioner on parole for a period of one month to re-establish social and family ties. His application to GNCTD on 26.07.2018 has evinced no reply. His address has been verified by the police.

A perusal of the petitioner's Nominal Roll dated 29.09.2018 reveals that his conduct in jail has been satisfactory for the last more than 21⁄2 years; he has been convicted for life and has already undergone incarceration for 8 years 10 months and 19 and has earned a remission of 10 months and 6 days. Furthermore, the petitioner had earlier been released on parole for four weeks from 26.12.2017 to 22.01.2018 and has not misused the liberty granted to him.

In view of the foregoing, the Court finds no impediment in allowing the present petition. Accordingly, the petitioner is granted parole for a period of one month from the date of his release on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of Rs.10,000/- with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent concerned, subject to the following conditions:-

(1) The petitioner shall report to the Station House Officer, concerned Police Station Vasant Vihar, Delhi, once a week on every Tuesday during the period of parole;

(2) He shall furnish his telephone number to the SHO concerned, which the petitioner shall keep operational at all times. (3) He shall not leave the territory of NCT of Delhi. (4) The petitioner shall surrender before the Jail Authorities at the expiry of the period of parole.

With the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed-off. A copy of this order be given dasti to the learned counsel for the parties and a copy be sent to the Jail Superintendent concerned for compliance.
