% 06.10.2016 Crl.M.A. No.15837/2016 Exemption allowed, subject to all just exceptions. The application stands disposed of.

W.P.(CRL) 2965/2016 Issue notice. Notice is accepted on behalf of the State. Respondent nos.2 to 5 are represented through counsel. Respondent nos.2 and 3 and the parents of the petitioner are present in court. The petitioner states that she has married Manish Kumar out of her own free will and accord on 21.09.2016. She states that she left her parental home voluntarily without any coercion from anyone and is residing with Manish Kumar. Respondent No.2 and 3

states that they have not issued any threat to the petitioner, her husband or in-laws. They state that they have accepted the marriage of the petitioner with Manish Kumar.

They, however, states that in view of the social obligations, they would like that the petitioner return to her parental home for a few days so that they could her married to Manish Kumar again. However, the petitioner is not ready and willing to go back to her parental home. This being the position, no direction to this effect can be passed since the petitioner is a major.

The police is directed to make an assessment of threat to the petitioner, her husband and in-laws from respondent nos.2 to 6 and provide adequate protection as per the said assessment. Respondent nos.2 and 3 are also being counselled not to exercise any threat or coercion to the petitioner, her husband or in-laws and to accept the situation as it is. Petition stands disposed of in the aforesaid terms. Dasti.
