% 04.10.2018 It is submitted that respondent no.2 is sister-in-law of petitioner. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Neeraj Yadav of police station New Ashok Nagar.
She submits that with the intervention of elders in the family and common friends, matter has been settled amicably between her and petitioner vide Settlement Deed dated 28/08/2018, therefore, FIR No. 240/2017 under Section 363 IPC registered at police station New Ashok Nagar may be quashed. Affidavit of respondent no.2 in this regard is on record.
Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the
interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
