% 25.11.2016 Marital discord between the petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 had led to registration of present FIR. Petitioner nos. 2 to 4 are the relatives of petitioner no.1. Petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably. Their marriage has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent on 11th August, 2016. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and admits having settled the matter with the petitioners. She also admits having received entire settled amount. She has no objection in case the FIR is quashed. Keeping in mind the facts that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably and entire settled amount has been received by the respondent no. 2, inasmuch as, their marriage has already

been dissolved, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, FIR No.183/2015 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Gulabi Bagh and the consequent proceedings emanating thereform are quashed. Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. A.K. PATHAK, J.
