O R D E R

% 08.03.2018 Respondent no.2-Rashmi Sharma is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Anurag of police station Mehrauli. She submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner vide Deed of Settlement dated 10th December, 2014 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion.

She further submits that her marriage with petitioner has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent passed by the Family Court, Faridabad, Haryana on 20th July, 2015. She has no objection in case FIR is quashed. Affidavit of respondent no.2 is also on record at pages 79-81 wherein she has stated that she has no objection if FIR and the consequent proceedings are quashed.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2 voluntarily, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 545/2010 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Mehrauli and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
