W.P.(CRL) 2953/2016 By the present petition the petitioner seeks quashing of FIR No.256/2016 under Section 376 IPC registered at PS Greater Kailash, Delhi on the complaint of respondent No.2.

In view of the offence invoked being serious in nature, that is, Section 376 IPC, in view of the decision of the Supreme Court reported as 2012 (9) Scale 257: 2012 (10) SCC 303 Gian Singh Vs. State of Punjab & Anr. and (2014) 6 SCC 466 Narinder Singh and Ors.vs. State of Punjab and Anr. the above-noted FIR cannot be quashed on the basis of compromise between the parties. Petition is dismissed.
