% 17.11.2016 Petitioner no.1 is daughter of petitioner nos.2 & 3. Petitioners have approached this Court seeking police protection. Petitioners have alleged that respondent no.5 is a freelance journalist and a married person. In the month of January, 2016, respondent no.5 came to the house of petitioners, for the first time, to take the interview of petitioner no.3 for some of his news articles. Thereafter, respondent no.5 started stalking petitioner no.1. On 28th March, 2016, respondent no.5 came to the petitioners' house completely drunk and started claiming the petitioner no.1 to be his wife for last ten years. On 29th March, 2016, petitioner no.1 filed a complaint before SHO PS Mandawali Fazalpur, Delhi against the respondent no.5. Respondent no.5 tendered unconditional apology and assured that he will not harass the petitioner no.1 in
future. However, he did not stop harassing the petitioner no.1 and continued creating nuisance and stalking her.
On 21st April, 2016, FIR No.186/2016 under Section 354(D) IPC was registered against respondent no.5 on the complaint of petitioner no.1. Despite this, respondent no.5 continued to follow the petitioner no.1. Proceedings under Sections 107/150 Cr.P.C. were also initiated against the respondent no.5, which are pending before the Special Executive Magistrate.
Learned Additional Standing Counsel submits that beat staff has been sensitized and mobile numbers of beat staff, Division Officer and SHO have been provided to petitioners, with the instructions to contact them in case respondent no.5 continues to harass them in any manner whatsoever. Respondent no.5 is present in Court along with his counsel and submits that henceforth he will not contact any of the petitioners. He further submits that no SMS will be sent to the petitioners.
Writ petition is disposed of with the directions to SHO PS Mandawali Fazalpur, Delhi to ensure the safety of the petitioners, depending upon the threat perception.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
Miscellaneous applications are disposed of infructuous.
