% 29.10.2018 Though the petition at hand was filed seeking cancellation of the order dated 18.05.2015 of the Additional Sessions Judge whereby the second respondent was released on bail in the context of case FIR 207/2013 of police station Vasant Kunj (North) involving offences punishable under Sections 376, 506, 420, 468, 471, 201, 34 IPC, the learned senior counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, submitted that he does not wish to pursue this petition for such relief, his limited request being that the investigation has taken inordinate long time and CRL.M.C. 2410/2015
suitable directions for expeditious conclusion of such process be issued.
The counsel for the respondent submitted that given the fact that the matter has been hanging as a sword on his head all these years, he also joins the petitioner for expeditious conclusion of the investigative process.
On being asked, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor having taken instructions from Inspector Naresh Kumar, the investigating officer submits that investigation is now almost complete, the final report under Section 173 Cr. PC is expected to be filed in near future.
It is hoped and expected that the investigating agency will complete the remaining steps, if any required, for purposes of submission of the final report of investigation at an early date. The petition is disposed of as not pressed.
