% 07.07.2017 This is a petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India filed by the petitioner seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to permit the petitioner to squat near Gate No.4, Palika Bazar, Connaught Place, New Delhi. Learned counsel for the respondent/NDMC had entered appearance on an advance copy. On the last date of hearing, time was sought to place photographs on record to indicate the place where the petitioner has been squatting as per the order passed by NDMC, dated 23.07.2012.
After some hearing in the matter, the petitioner agrees that he would squat next to the Tea Vendor in the island as per the photograph which is marked as 'X' and shall form part of the Court record. The Inspector will accompany the petitioner today itself and mark the area 6 x 4 feet at the place in question. The petitioner undertakes to comply with all the norms of NDMC.
The petition is disposed of in above terms.
