W.P.(C) 10666/2016 The petitioner, by the present petition, seeks a mandamus to the respondent No.2, i.e., Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Civil Lines) to decide the application for mutation of the petitioners dated 30.08.1980 in a time-bound manner.
It is contended that earlier there were objections, however, it is contended that now only one objection is pending and the Objector is not appearing and is not pursuing his objections. It is contended that all other objections have been withdrawn/disposed of and there are no issues pending. It is contended that respondent No.2 has not disposed of the application for mutation for several years.

Notice is accepted by the learned counsel for the respondents.
Learned counsel for the respondents submits that the respondent No.2 shall take up the mutation application of the petitioners expeditiously and dispose of the same within a period of eight weeks from today. The writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent No.2 to dispose of the application for mutation of the petitioners within a period of eight weeks from today.
